To start, this webinar is for you if you don’t understand what Google Tag Manager is, how it works, or whether your organization needs to use it. (Hint: it’s not a new version of Google Analytics).
It’s no coincidence that I’ve received a lot of questions about Google Tag Manager. As a result, I recorded a high-level overview of what Google Tag Manager is, what it does, and what you can do with it. Above all, this is for anyone that doesn’t have a super technical background. I explain the ins-and-outs of GTM in plain, non-technical, “explain like I’m five” language. Isn’t that what everyone is looking for anyway?
A huge takeaway for many nonprofits about GTM is that it gives you greater insight and goes deeper than Google Analytics. GTM allows you to track data you otherwise wouldn’t have been able to. For instance, who clicked the “learn more” button and signed up for your newsletter. Otherwise, you would only have the data surrounding metrics like page views and bounce rate.
What You’ll Learn:
- First, how Google Tag Manager works,
- Second, how GTM can make your life easier (and ways it won’t) and
- Finally, what steps to take before moving your organization to GTM.
